Sexual
Enhancements
Threesomes, cock rings, and autoerotic asphyxiation It
appears that only recently has there been broader public acceptance of
the so-called kinky sexual practices, ranging from sadomasochism to cock
rings and threesomes. Yet the employment of erotic
sexual enhancement devices and, sometimes, bizarre sexual maneuvers,
has been a common practice throughout the centuries. And although seen by
a select
population
as part
and parcel of a sort of moral decline brought upon by the sexual revolution
of the 1960’s and 1970’s, the existence of the less conventional
type of sexual encounter has a well-documented history.
There are a wide variety
of ways to enhance the sexual experience, often leading to sensually heightened
experiences. And although some cast a critical eye upon those who practice
alternative sex, calling it sexual deviance and other derogatory names,
it is generally a valid practice if gone about in a safe and responsible
manner.
One of history’s most outspoken proponent of alternative sex techniques
and sex perspectives was
the French Marquis de Sade, who spent many years imprisoned for sexual
impropriety only to use the time to convert his activity
into literary fame, writing extensively of what was to be looked upon by
many as perversion and obscenity in regards to sexual acts and feelings-
but to others as sheer genius in the world of alternative sexual activities.
In fact, he is the namesake of sadism, the taking of pleasure from another’s
pain, which, when combined with masochism, the derivation of pleasure from
one’s own pain, comprises sadomasochism, or “S&M.” When
employed during intercourse, sadomasochism involves the use of pain as
part of the sexual routine. Although often associated with chains, handcuffs
and
the notorious “leather,” sadomasochism can be as mild as gently
biting a partner’s nipple to achieve a heightened sensation during
foreplay or intercourse. The Christian thinker and storyteller C.S. Lewis
wrote about the combination of pain and sex. According to him, the pain,
although a vital part of a healthy sexual experience, does not necessarily
amount to pleasure, but to something even more profound. While Lewis would
most likely not condone the more intensive sadomasochistic practices, or
even sex outside of wedlock, it is evident that, according to him, pain
is less of a perversion than it is a recognized part of sexual stimulation.
Threesomes
One way to “spice up the sex life” is by bringing
a third partner into bed. Another gift from the French, this practice has
come
to be known
as ménage a trois or “threesome” in
English. It usually involves a male and two females, or a female and two
males, and can prove
exciting beyond belief. There is a practice where men enjoy watching their
wives engage in a lesbian threesome. For some people this
is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, while others engage in this
practice
regularly.
In fact, there
are couples
that actively scout out third partners to join them in sex. For these couples
it is like a hobby or pastime, finding a new partner every week or so. But
no matter how one ends up in bed with a beautiful woman on either side, it
is important to know the trick behind finding a happy balance between etiquette
and adventure. For instance, while having sex be sure that everybody is included.
But don’t worry about it too much; once a rhythm based on a good level
of abandon is established, a high-energy cycle is attained and all three
become lost in a vortex of pleasure. Threesomes have provided many with happy
and exciting sexual experiences. As always, however, it is important to use
protection and discuss limits of what can and cannot be done.
Cock rings
One device used to prolong and enhance the sexual experience is the man’s
use of a cock ring. Sometimes used to counter the effects of erectile dysfunction,
the cock ring works by helping to trap blood inside the penis so that a man
can attain a harder, longer lasting erection. It should be cautioned, however,
that the use of such a device should be limited to no longer than 30 minutes
at a time. Cock rings can be found in sex shops but are generally not recommended
by doctors and if one is experiencing any type of impotence, he should consult
a physician before attempting this type of treatment on his own. For men
who are sexually healthy and wish to enhance sex through erectile firmament,
a cock ring can be a positive and enjoyable method, if used properly.
Drugs for enhancing sexual pleasure
Drugs are also used to enhance the sexual experience, and among those who
use poppers or cocaine, many seek a more intensified orgasm through the
use of these mind-altering chemicals. It should be warned, however, that
these
are controlled substances and that, in the even of an overdose, death could
ensue. Furthermore, it is against the laws in many states and countries
and we strongly advise you to consult an attorney to find out what is
illegal in your area, as well as consult a doctor prior to engaging in
any recreational drug use. By describing the current practices in drug
use tied to sex, we are not condoning or promoting it, but only reporting
on how people are using drugs for what they feel is better sexual enjoyment.
While cocaine just increases one’s
level of euphoria, the fundamental high delivered by poppers is derived
from
temporarily
cutting
off the brain’s
oxygen supply. In conjunction with an orgasm, many have reported that truly
ecstatic states of consciousness can be reached. Some even claim that they
have ‘seen god’ while others talk of feeling unusual bliss
and perfection. These effects, however, are quite short lasting and often
involve
unpleasant side effects involving headaches, nausea and difficulty in achieving
an erection. Apart from the illegal drugs, Viagra and Cialis are medical
treatments for impotence that some men choose to use recreationally. These
drugs should only be used under the directions of a physician. If one chooses
to use controlled substances for any reason, it is important to be aware
of the legal and health risks this type of activity can pose. Yohimbe,
however, is an herbal stimulant and libido enhancer that is probably the
safest of
any sex drug available.
Autoerotic Asphyxiation
Yet while the dangers of the cock ring may amount to penile problems,
and drugs may cause problems if used improperly, they are practically
nothing
compared to the morbid consequences often arising from autoerotic asphyxiation.
This practice is conducted during masturbation or other sexually stimulating
activities by men who seek a heightened orgasm through depriving
the brain of its
oxygen
supply
at the time of climax.
Whether or not this is an effective for of pleasure enhancement is debatable,
and the high death toll associated with this practice makes this quite an
unappealing option. Often those who do not survive auto erotic asphyxiation are
found by their own family members, naked and sprawled about in obscene and
unflattering positions. If there does indeed exist embarrassment after
death, this would be the way to find out. But more than plain embarrassment,
this type of death is many times the cause of disproportionate trauma for
the family and friends of the victim. |
