What is premature ejaculation?

The problem of premature ejaculation is characterized by a man who more often than not reaches his sexual climax, orgasms, and ejaculates long before the appropriate time is due. Depending on who you talk to, the brevity of time elapsed between the erection and the ejaculation can range from just a few strokes to just a few minutes, but all the time it means that a man has ejaculated before intending to do so.

It is important to recognize that when a man comes before his sexual partner does, this does not necessarily constitute premature ejaculation. That’s because many sexual partners, especially women, can take a very long time before reaching the orgasmic climax. Many however, mistake this occasional early ejaculation with the condition of premature ejaculation, although it is probably not the case. But aside from those men who occasionally can’t hold out, but wish they could do so a little longer, a surprising number of men today actually suffer from this condition, although few are willing to talk about it openly. After looking further into the issue, many researchers have come to agree that the man who suffers from premature ejaculation has a hard time in recognizing certain physical feelings that occur during the act of sex or masturbation.

Essentially, this means that a man experiencing the condition of premature ejaculation will most probably let out his semen before even realizing that the time has come to, well, come. It is a control issue, and understanding this is important. If a man cannot control his ejaculation for more than half of the times he sets himself to sex or masturbation, then it is fair to assume that he is a victim of premature ejaculation.
